About Us
A good about us page introduces your business to potential customers. It is usually good to start with a few sentences to talk about why you started the company, what sets you apart, and what your founding values are. I like to follow that up with a brief history of how the company got started.
Mission Statement
Every company should have a mission statement. This is why you are in business to begin with. It is best to keep it short and simple. A couple sentences is really all you need here.
History
Everyone likes a good story. The history section personalizes your company and gives it a bit of character. If you have a good founding story, this is the place to tell it. Not everyone will read it, but those that do will start to form that bound that brings customers coming back. For example, Small Kahuna's founding story was that we were on a plane coming back from Strange Loop and Austin and were inspired to create a great product to help small businesses like yourself.
The history doesn't necessarily have to be short. But, it should be a little interesting. You can talk about your founding members or what your first building looked like. It is really your place to shine.
